The incredible beauty of the human mind – of your brain – is that it can think about, imagine or create what does not currently exist. Your mind can imagine situations that are different from your reality. This ability to create new and better realities allows you to create a far better future than your present.
Your mind is like a computer, and what you say to yourself acts as commands that program your mind to act in the way you choose. If you feed your mind with negative thoughts, you will experience a negative life. On the other hand, if you feed your mind with specific positive thoughts, you will experience a life consistent with your self-talk.

Negative Words are At Work 365
Most people repeat in their minds negative words – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year – regarding the situations and events in their lives. As a result, they attract negative people and situations into their lives.
Your words will either build you up or tear you down. It is the way you use your internal conversation that determines whether you will manifest positive or negative results.

Most people aren’t aware that they constantly repeat negative statements in their minds. Do you tell yourself that you can’t do something, that you are no good, unattractive, too short, too weak, too fat, too thin, too old, too young, too uneducated, or that you could never do this or that? You must understand that your subconscious mind accepts as true whatever you repeat to it – your programming – and will eventually attract situations and people who are consistent with your programming, whether it is good or bad for you.

Affirmations are positive statements that describe in positive words a situation, event, habit or goal – that you really want – and which you repeat to yourself aloud. When you repeat these statements often and in a very specific way, they take root in your subconscious mind and influence it (you!) to act in a manner consistent with the affirmations. When you repeat these – what I label – Power Affirmations with passion, belief and focus, they will change the programming of your subconscious mind, which transforms the way you think, your habits, your actions, your attitudes and the results you get. Simply put, Power Affirmations will help you create your best life and attract better opportunities.

Darryl’s 11 Power Affirmation Tips
To get the maximum impact from using Power Affirmations I suggest you use the following tips:
1. Say Them With Belief
If you have dealt with me for any length of time you know that I say that “belief” is the first rule of successful living. Create within yourself a belief in your Power Affirmations. Say them to yourself such that you feel the belief in your bones.
2. Say Them In The Present Tense
Power Affirmations really work for you best when they are stated in the present tense. Example: “I now exercise each day.” Avoid affirming something in the future tense (example: “I am going to exercise each day”) or the results you get will always stay off in the future and not affect your life.

3. Keep Them Short and Specific
Keep your Power Affirmations short enough to say with power and ease. This will mean they have a powerful impact on your subconscious. Short and specific Power Affirmations are uncluttered by trifling elements.
4. Repeat Them
You cannot repeat your Power Affirmations too frequently. Repetition imprints the success thoughts into your subconscious mind and into your actions. Repeat your affirmations over and over. Repeating your affirmations again and again, also called “spaced repetition,” helps you to visualize success and displace whatever negatives you need to replace with positives.

5. Keep Them Positive
Say your Power Affirmations in the most positive terms possible. Do not say them as a negative statement. State what you DO want, as opposed to what you do NOT want. Example: “I don’t want to drink alcohol.” This is a negative statement. Instead, you might say: “I now enjoy being a non-drinker.” This latter Power Affirmation is powerful, positive and supports a goal you have set.
6. Say Them With Passion
If you are not emotional about your Power Affirmations, then you will not fully leverage the good you can get from them. When you say your Power Affirmations, you must say them with passion, emotion and power! Say the Power Affirmation slowly and with feeling. Give yourself time to let your body “feel” the Power Affirmation. Example: If your Power Affirmation refers to “increasing your wealth,” then allow yourself to “feel” what the increased wealth will mean to you.
7. Don’t Give Up
Stick with your Power Affirmations and they will work for you. You need to consistently and regularly repeat your Power Affirmations and then you will benefit from the multiplying impact they will have on your thoughts, habits and results.

8. Personalize Them
Many of the Power Affirmations I share might be absolutely perfect for you as they are currently stated. But, don’t hesitate to form Power Affirmations in a statement that is specific to your situation. The more personal the Power Affirmations, the greater the impact it makes on your subconscious mind, and the sooner you will get positive results in your life.
9. Power Up Each Day
I encourage you to say your Power Affirmations at least 10X each day for 30 days. It takes 30 days to impress upon your subconscious mind exactly what you desire in your life. This process serves to make the imprinted thought part of your automatic conscious behavior.
10. Be Happy
Say your Power Affirmations with the happiness and joy that comes from taking control of your life.

11. Create Your Own Power Affirmations in these 4 Easy Steps
Step 1 – Decide what you want to change or add to your life.
Step 2 – Create the Power Affirmations that you need in order to program your subconscious mind to accept the changes.
Step 3 – Write your Power Affirmations down on paper.
Step 4 – Start repeating your personal Power Affirmations at least twice each day – more often is better.
