BoomZip loves your pets but some of our beauty & wellness professionals are allergic or scared, and cannot provide their services with pets around. If you could please crate or room your animals away from the room in which services will be provided before our professionals arrive, it would be optimum for the safety of our professionals.

  • The Makeup Refresher is a modified version of BoomZip’s full makeup application, working with already existing makeup and refreshing a combination of the eyes, lips, and cheeks.
  • BoomZip’s Mani Refresher includes a 5 minute arm massage, file, buff, polish and quick dry.
  • BoomZip’s Beard Trim Quickie and the Haircut Refresher are done on clean, dry hair and will “clean up” current looks.

Each dry hair style, makeup refresher, mani refresher, haircut refresher, life coaching session, yoga session, fitness workout, nutrition counseling, and beard trim quickie takes about 20 minutes, so we can accommodate 3 people per hour, per hair stylist/makeup artist/manicurist/barber/life coach/dietitian. Yoga and Fitness sessions are done in groups.

Who are the beauty & wellness professionals coming to my home/office?

All of BoomZip’s beauty & wellness professionals are hand-picked, and experienced. They are among the best artists in your city. Each qualified applicant is thoroughly background checked and goes through a thorough assessment before joining the team. Less than 9% of applicants make the BoomZip Squad. Once selected as a member, each cosmetologist, esthetician, makeup artist, barber, manicurist, yoga teacher, fitness trainer, dietitian/nutritionist, and life coach undergoes a complete assessment program executed by BoomZip senior management.

Can I request specific BoomZip professionals?

The first time you use BoomZip, your BoomZip professional will be selected for you based on your profile and the professional’s proximity to you. We carefully select the BoomZip professionals we work with and we only allow the most talented and professional artists to join our network. However, if you’ve used BoomZip several times and you have a preference, you will be able to request a specific professional – we’ll always do our best to accommodate your request! Special requests should be made using our Special Request form. Note: Your life coaches and nutrition coaches remain the same from session to session unless you request a change.

How do I share my desired look with my beauty pro?

When your beauty pro arrives you should share the look you desire. You can show a picture from BoomZip’s LookBook or another picture you have. You may also include information on your desired look or other issues in the notes section when you book your service.

Can you come to my office?

Yes! BoomZip sends the best beauty & wellness professionals to you – wherever and (almost!) whenever your need us!

I’m traveling. Can you come to the hotel?

Many of our BoomZip clients have us come to their hotel rooms while traveling! Simply enter the hotel’s address into the location field when making your reservation and include the room number in the appointment notes. If you don’t know the room number when making the reservation, you may always update it at a later time.

Do your professionals bring products or should I use mine?

BoomZip professionals have everything they need in their kits. They use professional products and tools, which are inspected during our onboarding process to make sure that it meets BoomZip standards.

Can BoomZip’s Artist add faux lashes during my makeup appointment?

Yes! Artists carry a variety of faux lashes ranging from natural to dramatic. For an additional fee — and booked ahead of time — we will add faux one-time use lashes. Please see our options on the BoomZip App.

Can my hair stylist add hair extensions?

Yes! For an additional $20, we will add clip in extensions. Please alert us ahead of your appointment so we can account for the extra time it takes to style the extensions.

Can I design my own nail art look?

Our nail art LookBooks menu includes some looks to choose from. We don’t currently accommodate custom nail art designs. However, feel free to choose your own color combination within our selection of polishes and shellacs to create your desired look.

Can I choose more than one nail art look?

You can choose up to two looks and have one of the looks as a single accent nail on each hand. Your nail pro will only execute one accent nail per hand.

Is a French manicure considered nail art?

Yes. The French manicure is considered nail art, so the same charge applies.

Can I get nail art on my toes?

Nail art does not apply to pedicure services.

Can I get Gel nail art?

Yes! Nail art is bookable for all gel manicures.

If I am at the office do I need to have wet hair for a Blowout?

No. While wet hair is recommended, It is not necessary. We are happy to do styling on dry hair.

How do I get ready for my BoomZip appointment?

For HAIRSTYLING: For your “Blowout or Braid,” we request you have “Wet Hair, In The Chair.” This means you should wash your hair 10-15 minutes prior to the appointment so your hair is slightly damp (not soaking wet) when the BoomZip stylist arrives. There is no need to shampoo before your “Updo” appointment. We’ve found that dry hair is best for “Updos.” We also recommend that you wash your hair the day before your BoomZip appointment in order to achieve the best results. Have a place to sit that is near an electrical outlet and a flat surface or table, so that your BoomZip stylist can plug in hair dryers and spread out tools and products. For DREADLOCK INSTALLATION: All Dreadlock clients must have their hair and scalp shampooed clean and damp before/when BoomZip’s Elite Loctician arrives for the service. For EYELASH EXTENSIONS: To prepare for your “Eyelash Extensions” appointment – DO: shower prior to your appointment and wear comfortable clothing and remove your contacts. DON’T: wear makeup or apply face creams/sunblock to the eye area or wear mascara or wear large or dangly earrings or curl your lashes on the day of your appointment. Have a couch and comfortable pillow (for you) to lay on your back with your head propped, and a very nearby table and a chair (for the Eyelash Pro). REMINDER: Remove all mascara. When does my BoomZip package expire?

BoomZip packages do not expire and can be used at any time.

Can I apply my BoomZip package credits to future appointments I have already booked?

Your package credits can only be applied to new appointments.

When/how are tax and gratuity charged?

Tax and gratuity are charged upon purchase of your package. No need to have cash on hand at your appointment!

PAYMENT

How much should I tip my BoomZip professional?

BoomZip has made it easy for you to know exactly what your total appointment cost will be, without the need to handle cash. Your total charge for purchases via the BoomZip App will include a 20% tip on the original service fee, which will be automatically calculated upon checkout and charged to your card. Additional tips in cash are at your discretion. If you feel you would like to give ADDITIONAL gratuity, you may do so in cash directly to your BoomZip professional. Note: We do not provide automatic tips to BoomZip’s coaches, nutrition counselors, yoga teachers, or fitness trainers, and you are not required to do so. The tip percent and the services that automatically receive tips may be changed at anytime at BoomZip’s sole discretion.

What are BoomZip Bucks?

Here at BoomZip, we believe in ease, convenience, and friendship. That’s why we want to make it easier for you to use BoomZip and to share with your friends.

BoomZip Bucks (also known as “BoomZip credits”) are discount amounts that can be applied to booking of any services on BoomZip. Certain restrictions may apply. When will my credit card be charged?

Your credit card will only be charged after the completion of your service or may be charged if you cancel within 24 hours of your booking start time according to our cancellation policy.

How do I use my credits and balance to request services on BoomZip?

BoomZip makes it very easy to use your BoomZip Bucks balance or other credits when you request services on BoomZip. Whenever you request a service on BoomZip, we first apply any credits you have up to a maximum of $10 for each service you book, then whatever is left is charged to your credit card.

How do I pay?

You will be prompted to enter your credit card information upon your first booking on the BoomZip app, which will then be securely stored for all future appointments. You do not have to worry about providing a cash tip because a 20% gratuity will be charged to your card for each appointment.

Please note that all promotional offers are for limited time periods,and/or are for certain services, and/or may have a maximum dollar discount value for each booking, and/or may be valid for new email subscribers only, and/or may be valid for first time customers, and/or may be valid for first booking, and/or may be limited in number of times you can use it, and cannot be combined with any other offer or promotional codes. How does the BoomZip Refer A Friend program work?

With the BoomZip Refer A Friend Program, you can earn BoomZip Bucks (discount credits) when your friends and colleagues complete their first reservations using your personal Referral Code. BoomZip credit is applicable on any item from our standard Service Menu.

How many referral credits do I get when I refer my friends?

When you share your personal code with your friends, you will receive $10 in BoomZip credit once they have COMPLETED their appointment. You can refer as many friends as you like and there is no limit to how much referral credit you can receive.

If I have a referral code, how does it work?

If you are a new user who has been referred to BoomZip by a friend, be sure to enter that friend’s Referral Code where you are prompted as you book your service(s)!

SCHEDULING

What is BoomZip’s cancellation policy?

We know things change, so we make it easy for you to cancel your reservations.

If you have any changes in your schedule and need to cancel or change your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible at: Contact Us with your name, the time of the original appointment and the desired change, but please note our cancellation policy below.

  1. If you cancel more than 24 hours before your appointment, we will not charge you any cancellation fee.  
  2. You will be charged 50% of the service fee  if you cancel between 8 and 24 hours before your booked appointment time.  
  3. You will be charged the full service fee if you cancel your appointment less than 8 hours before your booked appointment time or if you are a no-show.  If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, you are considered a no-show and you will be charged a cancellation fee of 100% of the service fee.

BoomZip professionals rearrange their schedules to be there for you. We are sure you understand our respect for their time and commitment to you and BoomZip.

When can I request a BoomZip service?

BoomZip services are available starting at 7:00am and our last appointment time starts at 11:00pm, 7-days a week, 365-days a year. We allow last-minute appointments with just 3 hours notice in most cases, or you can schedule your appointment in advance.

Where can I see the details of my professional?

You can see this from our app after you have selected your service and time and the professional has been chosen for you.

What if I’m running late for my appointment? Being on time?

We take timing very seriously – it’s important to us that your BoomZip service starts when you’ve requested it! It is very important that you are ready for your BoomZip appointment on time. That being said, if you are late to your appointment, it may affect the start time of the next clients’ experience – if your BoomZip Pro is waiting 15 minutes or more for you, he/she may need to leave and you will be charged the full service price, minus gratuity.

How can I contact my professional?

If your reservation has been matched to a professional, you will be able to contact them via the BoomZip app.

Does my life coach or nutrition coach meet me at my home?

No. All life coaching and nutrition counseling occurs via phone, so that you experience maximum convenience.

How long is the appointment?

Each service that is booked has its own required time frame. BoomZip’s Pros delight in showing up on time, giving you excellent service, and leaving on time. Your time is valuable! Please look in the BoomZip App at the service you’re interested in and the time for the service will be shown.

If I don’t see the look I like on the LookBook style menu, can I request something else?

What if I can’t book an appointment for my desired date & time?

All appointments are subject to availability of BoomZip’s Pros. Our services are very popular and our peak days of operation include Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Holidays are also extremely popular. It’s best to book as far in advance as you can, and you can also check back for additional availability, if you’re unable to schedule an appointment for your desired date & time.

Is BoomZip available 7 days of the week?

Yes. BoomZip allows you to make reservations for services 7 days a week. Our professionals take appointments from 7:00am to 11:00pm Monday through Sunday. Please note that to make a reservation for 7:00am – 8:45am, your request must be submitted no later than 7:00pm the day prior to your desired appointment.

Do you do weddings?

Yes! BoomZip offers high-quality, professional hair, makeup, and nail services for brides and the bridal party. From the engagement photos, bridal shower and bachelorette party, to the rehearsal dinner and the big day, BoomZip‘s highly trained beauty professionals are there every step of the way to help you, your bridal party and guests look and feel beautiful. For wedding inquiries, contact us at  Weddings and we will set up a call with our wedding coordinator.

What should I do to prepare for my hair or makeup consultation for my wedding?

We recommend finding some images of hair and makeup for reference for your look to show your stylist before they arrive. Don’t forget to show your stylist your dress, if possible, too! If you would like the stylist to use hair accessories for your look, please have those purchased and ready for use before your consultation.

How long does the bridal appointment take?

The consultation prior to your wedding for your hair and makeup will take up to 90 minutes per service. Hair and makeup on your wedding day may take up to 2-hours. If you’d like to adjust your time after your consultation, let us know! However, we suggest booking your appointment far enough in advance that you leave yourself plenty of time to relax, take photos, and enjoy your special day before the ceremony!

How far in advance can I book my hair or makeup consultation for my wedding?

We recommend booking your consultation date for hair and makeup 1 month in advance of your wedding. That means that the date that you wish to receive your consultation is at least 1 month before your wedding. We’re happy to book it for any time you prefer, however, booking 1 month in advance helps us to guarantee the same stylist will be available for both your consultation and your wedding day.

Will I have the same stylist on my wedding day as I do for my consultation?

Yes! Once your wedding date is confirmed, we will coordinate with you and your stylist(s) to confirm a trial date based on everyone’s availability.

What if I don’t want a consultation for my hair or makeup for my wedding?

You are not required to schedule a consultation with a stylist prior to your wedding day, however, we highly recommend doing so. This is your special day! We want you to be totally comfortable with your look before your wedding day. You’ll feel more confident that your stylist knows what you want and can execute your look quickly on your wedding day by having your consultation done beforehand.

I’m getting a spray tan before my wedding. Should I spray my face as well?

You don’t have to! Our makeup artists can color match your foundation to the skin tone of your body. Many spray tan products do not agree with makeup, so it’s important to know beforehand that there is a risk that the spray tan for your body will cause your foundation to appear blotchy or discolored in photos. Nobody wants that!

When should I get a facial or wax/thread my brows before my wedding day?

We recommend never waxing or getting a facial the day of or the day before your wedding. We suggest you get your brows done at least 4 days in advance. If you’re planning on getting a facial, do so at least one week prior to your wedding day. This will give your skin the time it needs to be at its best and fully heal and recover from waxing, threading, or exfoliating.
